September 30th is my last day as Executive Director at Four Points, Inc. Over the last 15 years, I have had the tremendous pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated, courageous individuals on the planet. Starting with my staff, then my Board of Directors, the volunteers and then all of the partners that have helped Four Points grow and become a vital service to our area.
My leaving is bittersweet because I will miss my job and working with all of you so much. But, I have a wonderful new challenge ahead of me. I really appreciate Judge Sheila Thompson taking a chance and providing me with this opportunity to "get back to the law."
I wish my successor so much luck and leave him or her with an awesome staff for support. I know that great things are yet to be with this agency and hope everyone will continue to support it as they have since 1996.
But, as I have said many times to staff and Board over the last few months, I'm not going to Malaysia, just two streets over. So, if I can be of help to any of you, just give me a call or shoot an email. By the way, the new email is judgehise@walkermagistrate.us.
Thanks for 15 fabulous years and I look forward to seeing you all soon - in just a different role.

P.S. This revamped website is a long overdue chore that I can check off. Hope you like it. It will do until the new E.D. can bring in a fabulous one.
For a new Executive Director and DVTF Team Coordinator. The Board of Directors at Four Points, Inc. seeks an energetic individual to lead the agency to the next level. If you or someone you know is interested, click on the link below for the announcement with instructions on how to apply.
Sandra is no stranger to Four Points and is a natural choice as Interim Executive Director. Sandra began working with us in the CASA program back in 2000. Then she was a Guardian ad Litem and then she started teaching the TransParenting program and then she started working in the Supervised Visitation program!! She has done it all! She is also usually the first to answer the phone when you call. Be sure to give Sandra a warm reception when you talk to her. More on her qualifications on the TransParenting page.

A HUGE Thank You goes out to Three Circles Foundation and The Chattooga Baptist Builders for the AWESOME job they did in placing new windows and vinyl siding on the building; doing yard work, including cutting the big dead tree stump in the front yard, and fixing our fence on Saturday, September 17th. Three Circles brough up 16 boys and 10 adults to help the Baptist Builders to get this job done. We cannot Jeremy Collins of Three Circles for arranging all this. Jeremy and the folks at Three Circles are fantastic - check them out at
www.threecirclesfoundation.com.
And then there are the Boy Scouts to Thank! The Scouts pressure washed, stained, scraped, painted, trimmed shrubs and generally cleaned up around here as part of an Eagle Scout Project. Thanks to the Carmon family and the troop at Rock Spring United Methodist Church!
Our Supervised Visitation program relies on donations of toys for our program. So, in preparation for Christmas, how about going through those toy boxes, storage buildings and garages and bringing us your gently used toys. We would really love to have some outside toys and we are really in need of a new swingset. The one that Bill Rhyne, Jr. donated is on its last leg!! William is in high school now if that tells you how long that swing set has swung!!
We don't take stuffed animals or electronics but most everything else is great, including craft supplies. Stickers, glue sticks, pom poms, yarn and all those good things are in high demand. Just call if you are not sure and we can give you direction. Thanks!!
Are you a handyman or gardener in need of a project?
Do you know someone that fits that description?
If you do, Four Points needs him or her, and we'll take several of those folks to help us out. As you know, we do a lot of work around here with a skeleton staff. They just don't have the time (and somtimes, expertise) to do some of the maintenance that we need to do around the house and yard. So, we would really like it if we could get a pool of volunteers to help us out. If you are interested or think you might be and want more info, just give Sandra or Kathy a call at 706-638-1555. Thanks!!
We go through a lot of supplies here at Four Points like paper towels, toilet paper, batteries, etc. If you are interested in helping out this way, just click on the link below to find out what we need.
